World War 2 History Tour – Half Day Tour $90.00 per person
During World War II, particularly after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, the island was used by Allied forces as a military supply and support base, naval harbor, and airfield.The presence of the Allies later contributed to the island’s diving tourism, as the United States dumped most of their equipment and refuse at what is now known as ‘Million Dollar Point’. Another wreck off Espiritu Santo, the SS President Coolidge, is also a popular diving spot. The SSPresident Coolidge was a converted luxury liner that hit a mine during the war.On this trip back into time you will get to see the famous Fighter and Bomber strips, the old American Hospital, PT Boat base along with Million Dollar Point. Also included is a visit to a famous plane crash only discovered in 1996. The informed commentary of your tour guide will bring help to bring this bygone era back to life. This tragic chapter in history should never be forgotten by all of us that now enjoy the life so many others fought to preserve.
Millenium Cave Tour – Full Day Tour $135.00 per person
You will be met by the village chief on arrival for a Custom ceremony prior to a trek through unspoilt rainforest to the magnificent Millennium Cave, you will cross bamboo bridges, see beautiful waterfalls, lush jungle plants while winding your way down to the cave. At the other end of the cave you will exit on to a lovely river for a relaxing & refreshing drift before returning to the village.This trip requires a moderate level of fitness. You will also need a pair of joggers or similar footwear that you don’t mind getting wet and bottle of water.Be prepared for an unforgettable experience, this is the real untouched Santo. Duration 6 – 8 hours.
Champagne Beach and Blue Hole Tour – Full Day Tour $115.00 per person
This could arguably be the most photographed location in all of Vanuatu. To visit Champagne Beach is to visit one of the world’s great tropical beaches, protected from nearly all weather conditions with almost pure white sand that squeaks beneath the foot, surrounded by jungle. You could be marooned on that beach that only appears in movies & your private dreams. Take the trip to your own tropical Shang-Ri-La – no one is ever disappointed. On your return trip to town there is a stop at one of Santo’s famous blue holes & the historic Million Dollar Point. Ask your resort to prepare lunch for you. Vil Vil Village – Half Day Tour $115.00 per person
Your greeting by Chief Pulekon with the rhythmic, hypnotic sounds of voice & tamtams is the beginning of your trip to a different place & different pace. His proud community will show to you their traditional ways. The women will demonstrate their skills in producing baskets, mats & custom clothing from the Pandanas Plant, while the men will show you the tradition way of preparing Kava.
